Hometown History is a place based education project connecting students at Winchester Community High School with the community and the history that surrounds them. Students have toured the community, researched local historic sites, and written their historic narratives. This is their work.

During the Bicentennial celebration in 2018, the Winchester Community High School History Club and Journalism Department, in conjunction with the Bicentennial Committee, researched the history of the monuments on the courthouse lawn and compiled this guide.
